You don’t need previous experience for a park adventure. A cheerful spirit is enough. This page tells you what you should know before you start on your adventure.
The Discovery and Family courses are suitable for smaller users (under 130 cm), provided children under 13 years of age are accompanied by a parent when climbing on the course. Kids Land will keep future adventurers busy.
The fun and challenging Adventure course ends with an enormous 230 metres long cable slide. Sport offers a challenge even to the most dedicated keep-fit enthusiast: at a height of more than 10 metres, the route is a sure test of your fitness and skill.

You will wear a harness and helmet for your adventures in the park. A modern safety system keeps the climber always connected to the cable. You cannot disengage from it even accidentally until you are back on the ground.
Practice courses always give climbers instructions on the proper use of the equipment before they go on to the actual courses. If the training course goes well, the climber is ready for adventure!
Height and weight restrictions
The minimum height on the courses is 130 cm. An exception to this is Kids Land, which accepts smaller adventurers up to a maximum height of 140 cm.
The maximum weight limit for adventurers is 120 kg. Climbers in Kids Land can weight up to 40 kg. Bigger adventurers can help from ground level.
Are you less than 18 years old?
Adventurers under 13 years of age must always be accompanied by an adult supervisor when climbing on the courses. Each supervisor may accompany a maximum of three children.
Read about taking under-age adventurers into account
Unaccompanied children under the age of 18 need the written consent of a guardian for their adventures, in the form of safety instructions signed by the guardian. The safety instructions can be signed in advance or on the spot.
Dress properly!
We recommend dressing in outdoor clothes suitable for the weather, with gloves and enclosed, supporting, low-soled shoes. Suitable gloves for adventurers can be purchased on site.
For safety reasons, long hair must be held in place and scarves either left behind or pushed inside a jacket. Rings, watches and other accessories that might fall or get caught, should be removed before climbing onto the course.
The impact of weather on adventures
Atreenalin Adventure Park Saimaa, is built in a Finnish forest. Adventures are therefore subject to weather conditions. In general, weather is not an obstacle to adventures, but:
- Adventuring is not possible during thunderstorms. However, you can continue your unfinished adventure as soon as the thunderstorm has passed.
- If the wind gusts at speeds approaching 12 metres per second, we will keep the courses closed.
- In severe frost, even the toughest fingers begin to feel cold. The park is therefore closed when the temperature falls below -10 degrees.
- Other natural phenomena, such as rain and sleet followed by a sudden frost, may also affect adventuring.
